Data deletion

Who is this page for

• A business that has a WAGenie account and wants its account and workspace data deleted.
• A person who got a WhatsApp message from a business that uses WAGenie, and wants their information removed.
• A person who filled in our Get started form.

1. If you have a WAGenie account

• Email wish@wagenie.click or support@wagenie.click from the email address you used to sign up.
• Write "Data deletion request" in the subject line.
• Say whether you want the whole account deleted or only some data.
• We reply within 3 business days to confirm it is you. We may ask one question to check.
• We delete your workspace within 30 days of confirming. This removes your contacts, conversations, messages, media, templates, orders, products, flows, files and connection keys.
• We email you when it is done.

What we keep, and why. Payment receipts and GST records are kept for as long as Indian law requires. They do not include your customers' messages.

Before you delete. You can export your contacts and orders from the app first. Deleting cannot be undone.

2. If you are a customer of a business that uses WAGenie

The business decides why your information is in their workspace, so please ask the business first. If you cannot reach them, or they do not answer, email wish@wagenie.click with your WhatsApp number and the name of the business. We will pass your request to the business and, where the law needs it, delete your details ourselves within 30 days. To stop getting messages, reply STOP to any message from the business.

3. If you filled in the Get started form

Email wish@wagenie.click with the email address or WhatsApp number you used. We delete your request from our database and from the Google Sheet copy within 30 days.

4. Data held by Meta

Messages you send on WhatsApp are also held by Meta. To remove data held by Meta, use WhatsApp's own settings or Meta's privacy tools. We cannot delete data that Meta holds.

5. If you signed in with Meta

Remove WAGenie in your Meta account settings under Business Integrations, then email us as in step 1 so we delete what we hold.
